COME AND TAKE IT FLAG
The Gonzales or "Come and Take It" flag was allegedly used at the battle of Gonzales in October 1835. The battle of Gonzales is considered the first episode in the Texas Revolution against Mexico.
This flag is one of at least eight flags the Texans fought under during the revolution and may have been carried by Stephen F. Austin's volunteer army to the siege of Bexar (San Antonio), which became the first major campaign in the revolution.
